Doug:

You caught my drift. This is happening in my business too. The
young un's who are fresh out of college look at the old f@!ts as
deadwood in the way of their next promotion and many of them won't
even talk to the "old" folks. I thought I was the only one feeling
that way until one of my colleagues told me hid feelings.

Well, what does this have to do with broadcasting? I firmly believe
that the same mentality permeates throughout much of our society,
including broadcasting. What the young people fail to realize is 1)
that they will be old folks one day, 2) they can learn from the
wisdom and experience of the older generation, 3) it makes economic
sense to keep the old generation around as long as they can in
productive jobs so they young folks don't have to pay as much into
the social security system.

My sincerest apologies to those who may think that this is too far
off topic. But I think this needs to be said.
