I found it to be a pompus presentation of the unusual....

Most of the time the station was ultra pompous.
EXCEPT - after the ten o'clock new Saturday night.
The Midnight Special - three hours of eclectic deviations
Ray Nordstrum (sp??) and Norm Pellegini alternated hosting the show in
late 60's early 70's.
Folk music and farce, show tunes and satire ... (that all I can
remember of the intro)
They let their long hair down for these three hours. Program was
repeated the following Wednesday afternoon.
