Rich remarked:
>I used to spend weekends in Palm Springs when I lived in San Diego. I never could understand why they wore those mink stoles in 114 degree heat. I once made the mistake of leaving the top down on my Fiat Spyder. I think the top layer of my skin is still on the upholstery. I can only imagine how hot those pearls are after about 15 minutes in the sun.
If a rich man/woman can't enter the kingdom of Heaven why would you
care if they listen?
-------------
Well, right now it is only 70 degrees at poolside. Definitely sweater weather. No, in the summer everybody dresses for comfort. Shorts and flip-flops mostly. No furs. Several years ago the Palm Desert City Council decreed that coats and ties were not to be worn during the month of August. A very sensible suggestion.
And, Jesus did not say that it was impossible for rich people to enter the kingdom of heaven, only that it is difficult.
