Strange. All the stories I read about it indicated the maximum wage 
was $55,000. In New York City that's the poverty level. New York is 
an incredible place to live if you can and want to afford it. When my 
rent went to $3000 a month for a typical 1 bedroom apartment it was 
time to leave.

These are incredibly valuable people to a city like New York. Someone 
made the comment that the Mayor can leave the city for 3 days and no 
one notices. Transit workers go out and the city almost stops cold.
