Most of the mid-western 50 kW Class I-A clears claimed 38 states on skywave.
This was true of WMAQ, WGN, etc. in the late 50's and early '60's, and I
believe several others said the same in on the air promos of the day before
the I-A breakup. Both WWL and WBZ should have been able to claim similar
nighttime coverages.
