         Dave,
         I have heard and seen evidence that UB of NO were
         indeed quite a positive force. It was an amazing
         piece of cooperation among competitors... one
         we would hope would happen anywhere there is
         a catastrophe like Katrina.

         Yes, there were those who suggested that not
         all the programming was helpful, or even correct.
         However, the challenge of being coherent for
         a half an hour, much less 24/7 means that
         not everything broadcast will be 100% top notch -
         just listen to virtually any TV/Cable anchor
         who is "dropped" into a disaster situation. The
         ahs, uhs, repetition, and downright erroneous
         information is astounding.

         It WOULD be interesting to know how many
         of those phone calls were from real
         people in the dark, flooded areas, as opposed
         to those already out (their pain is also valid,
         but the are not in danger) or friends of
         Howard.
