I don't believe I was the one who claimed all police are bad.
However, every cop I know has admitted to administering on the spot
"justice" if the person stopped pissed him off. We've all seen a more
serious kind of "justice" in cities like New York, Los Angeles and
Chicago. Darryl Gates in Los Angeles was notorious for encouraging
brutal behavior. When I lived in Dallas, Texas Monthly Magazine
regularly ran stories about the need to steer clear of the Houston
police. They'd throw handcuffed detainees into the local river to see
if they could swim. Most were Hispanic. They drowned, as you'd
expect. Lee Brown, formerly New York's Commissioner, was hired to clean it up.
I think what we're taking about are small things a cop does to teach
someone a lesson when they're not given the respect the feel they
deserve. I'm not really sure where Jews fit it all this.
I'm very happy you're absolutely sure your son would never do
anything like that. If true, he's a shining example of the perfect
police officer. Perfection is so difficult to achieve, especially
under intense peer pressure.
Congratulations.
Rich
