Yes, the US is divided up into 10 regions (because we use a decimal system,
not a hexadecimal system), with 0 being in the New England area, 9 being the
west coast, Alaska, Hawaii, American Samoa, etc.
Canada is always LNL NLN. A1B 2C3, X7Y 8Z9, etc. I don't know how that
breaks down geographically.
