>This I want to point out to Greg at Orban/CRL.  Why is it that every new car I rent to drive or test drive, the AM Radio sounds "muffed"?  Despite HD, which in my opinion is failing and stations around here are turning it off, why the car manufactures like Delco can't just make a decent sounding, mono, AM Radio that it's high end goes out to at least 9 KHz.  

The reason AM sounds like $#*! has been covered over and over and over again
here and elsewhere, just days ago.  No amount of crowing about it will fix
the problem.  No major improvement from the "state of the art" HD
technology, either.  Do we really need to continue to wallow in the slop?
