The Dees RCA BC7 console has Straight Wire Audio UA2s in it. Rick also uses
the Doug Fearn tube mike preamps. Rick wanted the RCA from Burbank when they
moved studios, but the powers that be there refused to give it to him-I
believe it got tossed in the dumpster instead-just to spite him. It was chrome
plated, at Rick's expense by the way.

IIRC, Rick also still also uses cart machines-Dynamaxes are his favorites.

Rick is a great guy-I was filling in at Burbank (my normal place was Santa
Monica) for Jerry Burnham while he was on vacation, and it happened to be my
birthday. Rick found out and I was called into his studio where the whole
morning crew sang happy birthday to me on the air. BOY was I surprised! Rick
gave me a nice present too-a large gift certificate at a VERY nice restaurant.
It was completely unexpected, and truly appreciated by me and my girlfriend
(now wife).

That's the kind of person Rick is-on and off the air. A true nice guy and a
real class act.
