Scott -- I'm not sure what a 2006 Delphi radio has to do with what I 
wrote (and what you quoted). The Delco wide-band AM stereo radios 
appeared about 20 years ago (shortly after the NRSC standard was 
published), and I said in my original post, almost certainly did not 
survive the upheaval that occurred in the GM auto electronics line 
long before GM's recent bankruptcy. The Delco engineers who 
participated in the NRSC deliberations are long gone from GM's 
electronics operation.
