[BC] Beatles on iTunes vs Vinyl

Curious - if someone has bought Beatles cuts from iTunes.

What if you load the cut in to an editor? Any dynamic range, or is it 
lawnmower mastered (green waveform to the rails)?

How does an iTunes cut compare to the same cut from Vinyl? (I "import" 
vinyl by playing the cut, putting the level at ZERO on the highest 
energy thing in the cut.

Then leave the level alone and record it to disc).

? Anyone?
