Could it not be argued equally or better that the FCC was the principal villain for not authorizing AM stereo much sooner, and that the other systems were opportunistic interlopers, as Kahn had had his system on the air elsewhere successfully for a couple of decades ?
Perhaps the fact that Kahn's did not require a special receiver had something to do with it, as no big sales would result in that market.
