The government will just put its messages to the masses on Weather Radio. http://www.weather.gov/nwr/ They will probably force everyone to own a receiver. Right now, there is an undercurrent to force Weather Radio into automobile radios with some sort of in-band signaling that will cause it to break into whatever the driver is listening to (including DVDs). Since Katrina, 1000 new weather radio transmitters have been installed on hilltops around the country. They all have backup power and a satellite link. This was an enormous investment and the 'ment is not about to let it go to waste. Just watch.

Relay from a known source:

"Don't write off radio quite yet. It is the medium that can cover the most people, the fastest, with life saving information. We recognize that, of course, but...so does the federal government. They are currently making a huge investment in AM radio to make sure that it will be available and viable for the long term. No details please, but there are those on the list that can verify this information."
