Yes --and those Klystron amplifiers had 25kV to 40kV  on their anodes!!!
PLUS the "cathode" was the "anode" of a bombarder, a few kV below the chassis potential. You really had to know what you were doing when working on these rigs!
---No such thing as, "Just leave the filaments on to keep it warm," when you are working on it....

The old Townsend Visuals and Aurals mounted the amp meters on a fiberglass
panel six inches behind a thick glass viewing port.   Worked very well for
28 years.
