[BC] AM Modulation Monitor Off Air Monitoring

I have a spare Belar AM modulation monitor. When we bought our station we did not have a modulation monitior so I bought one then found later found one at the station. It needed some fixing which I did but I now have two modulation monitors. I spoke with a guy one time who said he had an am modulation monitor setup for off air monitoring and was using an old radio as the receiver. Anybody know how to do this?
