Yep. But the Govt. could not sell off all that TV spectrum without
'converting' everyone to digital. And even then, they SO screwed up things
that any incidental advantage (ie: opening up channels 5 and 6 for FM use)
also got flushed down the toilet.

Analog is better... but just like everything else, society and broadcasting
has been sold the word digital and the bags off goods that come along with
it.
