 Rivendell can not run on a windows machine, ( ported or otherwise ) as
 windows itself, and especially the file system is far to limited to provide
 some of the needed functionality.
 Certain supporting functions can be, and have been, ported to windows.
 Audio editors and such can run on anything, provided they are not working
 with the actual to-air audio store. That requires *nix file system semantics,
 protections, handles, and such that M$ file systems, and M$ OS, lack.
 Rivendell supports nearly all scheduling packages, no matter what they
 run on, or will whenever one not supported is brought to our attention.
