[BC] What is this?

Commonly known as a white face Johnson.  Known to be modifiable for very
good high modulation and (IIRC) abt 25 watts output.

I can neither confirm nor deny that I had and enjoyed using several of
these in my teen years.

The black face Johnsons were basically the same radio but with about 12
channels.
