A few years ago, when 670, wmaq, Chicago had their studios in the 
Merchandise Mart, (and where LOTS of nbc radio network programs originated - 
like Amos & Andy, Duffy's Tavern and Ma Perkins) there was a wonderful huge 
map of the United States above the elevators that showed in colored lights 
the NBC RED and BLUE networks.

I believe in Chicago, wcfl shared the blue network with wenr. 'cfl got stuck 
with many "sustaining" programs.The Breakfast Club was an nbc show that ran 
on wcfl before abc radio bought wls from the Prairie Farmer and put it on 
there for a few years.

Cue announcer -Chuck Bill;
"From the cloud room high atop the Allerton Hotel on Chicago's
magnificent mile the abc radio network presents, Don MacNeal's Breakfast 
Club!"

"Good morning breakfast clubbers....."
