We have Halon 1301 in one of our rooms. We can have it repaired and
refilled, but if we build out more space, we cannot expand the system.
There are newer "legal" formulations (ie: FM-200) that also work very well.
I should note that the chemicals themselves are inert. The Halon (etc)
won't kill you. The lack of oxygen, however, may prove problematic.
