During my time at WFIF, we had a Gates 5 and it was very well-behaved. (It's
still there, but I'm not. Sigh.)

We had gotten it in May of 1997. I do not recall doing any VSWR mods to it,
so I must assume that it came from the factory already modified. In the 10
years I was there with this box, I only had to replace fuses a mere handful of
times. (Usually because of storms, but sometimes power line glitches.) Storms
came and went, and seldom was there ever a hiccup. 3-tower array, on 1500Khz,
daytime only, right IN a tidal marsh. The tides tended to bother things more than
storms. ;)

Willie...
(Waaaay behind in my Forum e-mails! Sigh!)
