Hi all,

In reference to Chad's Question:

/Say, have a question for those of you that are using Audio Vault 8.4.2 with
the AV 100 cards and the old BE four port audio switchers that were used for
the satellite stations. Has anyone had any luck integrating a Sine Systems
ACU-1 instead of the BE switchers/

I have not used Sine Systems switchers with AV 8, but have used 
Broadcast tools switchers of all kinds to replace the 4 input BE 
switchers. They were controlled with a serial stream from AV using 
custom commands in the playlist. There are a limited number of custom 
commands that can be defined in the remote control sections of the .ini 
file but these definitions can be changed at various times by a new 
"load remote control" command that loads the command definitions for a 
particular time period or show.

Since the Sine router says it can be operated via serial, I'm guessing 
it could be used in the same way. It takes a little time and head 
scratchin' to get it all working, but the effort is well worth the 
"brain damage".  (Nice thing about the B Tools switchers is that several 
can be ganged together on the same serial line with each using a unique 
password digit to identify what is meant for that switcher. Not sure if 
Sine can do that too. )
