Yes it is Linux based..and the DD-WRT people will sell you a service agreement
really cheap. Also, they have an agreement with Buffalo Tech. that has Buffalo
shipping its routers with the DD-WRT firmware alrerady installed AND
supporting it. Problem is that Buffalo is under injunction to not sell routers
in the USA-it has something to do with patents from Australia.

My son recommended the same Linksys thing.  I think the firmware is 
Linux based, yes?
