[BC] Another AM goes dark

Obviuously, the land the tower sits on is owned by the station and the sold
it for a price they couldn't refuse. Sad. It can't be too hard to relocate a
single tower for 1500kHz.

However, a friend of mine VERY close to the WGEN situation (used to work
there!) tells me he knew a year they were going to take the station off the
air. The station is basically operated from Kewanee and that it runs itself.
He tells me "this company that wants to develop retail where the tower is
gave him a ton of money for it".

The station doesn't make money and never has.

There's a chance it could be sold, license and equipment only.. but also a
good chance the license could just be handed back in.

250 Watts Day and 1 Watt at night.
