Just like your IBUZ cheerleading can't get that albatross to fly,
only those at the very top can implement any solution any of us might
offer. Many people here have offered solutions, the most common being
get off your butts and invest in the business with compelling
programming and good people. Instead, they chop heads to save their
butts. Let's see if you can come up with an answer to rewarding
dysfunctional top management with more money as their stock drops to
delisting levels.
Your solution is an expensive, stillborn technology. Ours are much
more basic and have worked since radio began. Make radio exciting
showbiz and give listeners reasons to listen. Your solution is to
glut the market with more dull, sterile noise. You can still count,
without taking your shoes off, the number of stations offering
something significantly different that makes purchasing a deaf IBUZ
receiver attractive. The attitude is "if they come, we'll build it.
Well, they ain't coming. They aren't even breathing hard.
You have no idea who my clients are and what they're doing. I can't
divulge who they are or what their plans are. That would violate
agreements. What I can say is that they're still making money. Part
of the reason is that, instead of wasting money polluting the
spectrum, they've chosen to invest it in people who create
programming. I'm happy to say they fire people for poor performance,
not cutbacks, so the wingtips at the top can suck the companies dry.
What stations are you saving? If there are any, I'm sure you have the
same non-disclosure agreements, so I don't expect an answer beyond
how awesome the IBUZ radio salvation will be.
