>>Is there a character set for lambda for wavelength? I couldn't find

Lower-case lambda only appears in the extended character set (for most fonts), which is not accessible via keystrokes in Windows. However...

Windows computers have a built-in program called Character Map (CHARMAP.EXE), usually found in Accessories > System Tools. Using Character Map, you can copy-and-paste any character in any font, including the ones not accessible with keystrokes.

Also, remember that not all fonts contain all characters. Some of the fonts I've installed over the years have nothing beyond what's on the keyboard normally.
