[BC] Collins 300-G pictures

You guys would be surprised of the number of 1 KW stations still running
a 1 KW transmitter. WEEN, Lafayette, TN still runs a Collins 20V-2 for a
main. I could just imagine what the power bill is there, with an Energy
Onix FM rig there running for the Class "A" FM, all at the same site.
My buddy Randy, who is the station manager there, wanted to change out
the AM audio processing from some old CRL 80's box to an Omnia 3. I
discouraged it due to the "heavy bass" that the Omnia puts out, and I
was afraid it would blow the mod transformer in the Collins. Anything
made in from 1975 back, I wouldn't use a powerful audio processor like
an Omnia 3 with. The Omnia kicks too much tail!
I think I know where there is another Collins 300G here in Middle
Tennessee. Paul, if I could get the owner to part with it, you should
come down and get it.

Scott

I'm wondering if there are any 300G's in regular daily
use today? And there's the 300J, which I *think* is a
good bit rarer.
