Just to note that the published performance specs for the _DEMODULATED_ 
audio from a DIGIT CD FM exciter using its Digital Input Module push(ed) 
many of the limits of accurate measurement.  Not so for the HD FM program 
audio and exciter.

If HD FM sounds better than analog FM, isn't that related at least in part 
to the relative distortion of the modulation processors used to feed the FM 
analog and HD exciter inputs?
