Really,  on the XLR is pin 1 high or chassis common,  not chassis  ground??
  Are they the same???  
 
 This guy is my kind of designer and technical writer.    Smoke and toke and 
have a little drink and get to work.  A product that  solves all problems and 
meets all specifications.
