New piracy threat comes from friends sharing materials
"Schoolyard" piracy, wherein copies of CDs and DVDs are given to a friend
or classmate, poses a bigger threat to the recording and TV and movie
industries than illegal downloads. This new piracy battleground is born
out by a Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg poll, in which 69% of teenagers 12 to
17 said it was legal to copy a friend's CD, if it had been purchased, and
58% believed the same was true for purchased DVDs and videotapes.   Los
