[BC] RA-=1000

First transmitter i ever worked with in 1950 or so.  raytheon ra 1000 at 
KTRE    1420  1kw day500 night.  K-tree. Lufkin, Texas. Unfortunatuly the 
station no longer existsb ecause of the times.    Did I have a license?  Of 
course not.   I was about 16 years old at the time and baby sat the 
transmitter at night and switched to directional. I cant remember a time the 
ra 1000 was off the air,.   went to college days.Fred Hill was the chief 
engineer.   Dont know if fred is still around but heard he went with the LBJ 
group at austin.  Anyone know if fred is still around>
