Except that the theory behind the subsidized DTV converters is that it's 
NOT tax dollars, Kent's or otherwise, paying for them. They're supposed 
to be paid for out of a portion of the revenue generated by selling off 
the "out of core" spectrum freed up by the DTV conversion.

IF it really works out that way (and I have my doubts, given the way the 
last few auctions have gone), then I rather like the idea of having a 
DTV converter box (or three) funded by the sale of "my" excess spectrum. 
I can certainly think of a lot of other things that money could pay for 
that I wouldn't enjoy nearly as much...but that would belong over on the 
AF list, right, Barry?
