I worked for an AM-TV once that told me if i didn't want to go to the AM  
where it was located that I should take our Studio night watchman with  me.   
 
He didn't carry a gun,  he wore a uniform and had a badge   (Shield),  I 
guess he could have taken off his badge and stabbed someone  with the badge pin.
