I remember John Cameron Swayze doing those Timex commercials.  Takes a
lickin' and keeps on tickin'.  Swayze used to live here in Sarasota after he
retired.

For a time during the late fifties or early sixties Alex
Drier did a newscast on radio of all good news.  It was on at
around 9:30 or 10:00 P.M. and I would listen to it just
before going to bed.

Then there's those Timex watch commercials he did on the
Steve Allen television program.
