Place foot against shorting switch, hold screwdriver blade in interlock with
left hand, adjust with right hand. Modulator plates 8 or 10 inches away.
Known danger.
FM-20: danger unknown to those not familiar with it.

Steps to replace the IPA in our old CCA 12Kw transmitter.

1. Remove all power from transmitter.

2. Use shorting / safety stick on all high voltage points.

3. Open eyes wide when the arc occurs at the plate of the IPA.

4. Repeat step 3.

5. Remove plate clip from IPA wonder why your eyes are wide open again after
a small shock.

6. Repeat step 3.

7. Wonder why the series choke to IPA plate feels hot (RF).

8. Scratch rear end.

9. Power off Harris THE-1 exciter feeding IPA.

10. Replace IPA.

11. Make sure all your tools are out of the RF box (find the #2 Philips).

12. Power on Harris THE-1 exciter.

13. Tune input tank for best match from exciter.

14. Repower CCA transmitter.

15. Tune IPA to PA.

16. Congratulate your self you're not dead.

17. Look around to make sure no one witnessed the brain fart about the power
on the exciter.

18. Walk out and tell the GM he is back to full power.
