To the person looking for an R(B)DS car radio.

Here's an offer. I'll GIVE you a Kenwood KRC-605 car radio w/ RDS.
All you have to do is pay the UPS cost. I have the original box. I
hope I can find the instructiions.

I bought it quite a few years ago, installed it in my car and then
removed it as being too flawed to use. I re-installed the factory
radio. Two main problems:

1) The AM suffered rf overload much worse than the OEM Ford radio,
making listening to 1260 impossible when anywhere near 630's
transmitter. The Ford radio had much less problem.

2) The RDS logic was terribly thought out. One example. If I were in
"City A" and a station on 95.1 had RDS, the radio would associate that
station's call with 95.1 and display the call anytime I tuned to 95.1.
Trouble was that if I went to "City B" and there was a station on 95.1
that ___didn't___ have RDS, the radio would still display the call of
the station in City A. If the City B station ___did___ have RDS its
call would replace the previous association. The only other way to
break the association was to reset the radio. Really dumb.
