[If I understand how sat radio works, I think you folks are all coming
to mistaken conclusions.  The radios don't listen to just one signal
source.  My guess is that they listen to ALL the available signal
sources and pick error-free packets out of each to form an error-free
stream.  Just do the 207 trick with your Delphi receiver to see how
many sources it is using at any moment. There is an analogous
diagnostic code for old Sony XM tuners.]

Putting EAS announcements of just terrestrial repeaters would likely
give many urban listeners one-millisecond snippets from a repeater
interspersed with the non-EAS stream from however many sats the
receiver heard.  AFAIK, the choice of source is made on a
packet-by-packet basis.

"One millisecond" is used for discussion purposes. I hvae no idea
about the real number.
