Of course. It is the item itself I cannot receive.
The vast majority of sellers will not ship here. As was the case with the
one you bought.
If I really want to buy something I have to get it shipped to a mail drop in
Laredo. Then I have to make a return journey of 150 miles each way. Then I
have to wait for hours - up to 4 hours - to get to the border post. Then I
have to wait in a queue in the boiling heat because, even though I have a UK
bar-coded passport with a current US visa, I am made to fill in a bloody
form and pay $6 more for that.
And the last time . . . now you have *** really *** got me going! I went to
pick up a TOA mixer amp I bought, yes, on EBay, and . . .
. . . they said "Where are you staying" and I said, I am not staying
anywhere, I am going shopping. So I was treated like shit and given a 24
hour permit.
This has all happened because the US government now rules by keeping its
populace terrified of 'others' out to get them.
I am planning to be in the UK this summer and I intend to fly via Mexico
City direct to Madrid because I am not prepared to put up with this BS
inflicted, yes, on transit passengers too, not to mention an additional $125
in 'taxes'. No taxation without representation!
Best wishes,
Clive
