[BC] SBE Focus

Dana: It doesn't sound to me like you're looking for a professional
organization, you're looking for an AFLCIO labor union. We're not
longshoremen or drill press operators. We're professional engineers who
exercise independent judgment, skill and expertise which requires a
different type of organization than a fork-lift operator or migrant farm
laborer needs. The SBE's certification program, as well as their limited
lobbying efforts, jobs database and other services are more what we need.

I was no more combative than you were to the SBE, and I'm not even an SBE
member. I do, however, respect and appreciate their work on behalf of the
engineering community and the broader broadcast community as well. You made
it sound like they were Nazis because they didn't find you a job in 10
minutes or less.
