the two inline arrays I have been involved with both had deep nulls...One
(KLVI) that I was asst chief in the 70s, the towers were short small
Windchargers (only 66degrees tall)...At 560, that didn't help any; in DA-N
mode, lead tower was negative Z (I think it still is even with the rebuilds
in the last 30 years)....ONE null was right down the main drag in Port
Arthur TX....no carrier, just sidebands...top40 music just sucked in that
mode :) 850 in Houston (KEYH) is a 5 tower inline (at least the towers are
90deg tall and spaced reasonably)...but the nulls are deep on it as well. At
Critical Hrs with it running 2000+ watts, I could not hear it 5 miles north
of the array (right in one of the nulls) and KOA would easily cover it up...
