[BC] Terraserver - KVI, Seattle

Seven bands is correct...each one is about 62 feet high. KVI is at 570
on the dial.

According to a guy who painted the KVI structure just before he came to
our site, he stated there were "revealing" situations during those quiet
summer Tuesday afternoons when the beach was basically empty, he was up
on the tower, and a couple or individual would come out to Point Heyer
for some sunbathing - not even realizing he was high above them painting
away.

The ground system extends under the sand and out into the salt water.
Winter storms toss waves at the transmitter shed at the base of the
structure - it never goes off the air, though.

Thanks, Andrew...

I'm sure it is the angle, but only count 7 bands.

Love the beach!
