Barry is right DRE is not IBOC because it rides on the analog carrier. The
technology will migrate with a station when and if opts to go IBOC because
the two technologies are compatible with each other. So it can stand alone
today and be a nice compliment to IBOC later.

You can place a second or third stereo station in digital on your main
carrier using DRE's FMeXtra or several mono services. The other plus for the
receiver MFGers is that it is a code load Vs a total redesign which requires
chipsets to be bought.
