Willie's scheme of *almost* being zero beat is right on! A pair of stations in the Dallas TX area originally proposed really precise freequency control and went on the air that way. Took just a few days to figure out why some areas had such awful audio. Ended up with 4 or 5 Hz beat and all was well. Sort of. - JimT
