Toward the peak of the minicomputer period - say 1970/75 - I coined
two "laws".

1) If you can actually get delivery it's obsolete.

[The free magazines were full of new product "announcements" which
were really market surveys to see if there would be customers for a
product. I have glossy brochures for minicomputers which were never
built.]

2) Hurry up and buy now before the price goes down.

They still seem to be true today.
