The all-american five had OCTAL tubes, not those ity-bity 7-pin minatures. I never saw one with loctal tubes - would have been Philco I assume. The Philco on my shelf here in the shack was my aunt's, bought around 1940/1. It has octal tubes and a real wooden case. It would probably be more of a colelctor's item if it were of the right plastic. bob c.
