[AF] H and O as fuel

I curious as to where the energy for the HHO generator is coming from.

If current from the vehicle's alternator is used, I can't see how this can
happen. Burning fuel to produce mechanical energy is much less than 100%
efficient. Converting mechanical energy to electrical energy with an
alternator or generator is less than 100% efficient. Converting electrical
energy back to chemical energy, via electrolysis of water, is less than 100%
efficient. Feeding the hydrogen/oxygen mixture into the engine's intake, is
probably more efficient than converting hydrocarbons to mechanical energy.
Overall, it appears to me that the more energy conversions, the less the
overall efficiency.

There is, I believe, an effect that is due to the experimenter's
subconscious desire to validate their efforts. I think, even unconsciously,
the experimenter may drive differently. I am reminded of the driver's
education teacher who gave me part of a bottle of something that was called
"Mix-I-Go," if I remember correctly (this was in the 70s or 80s). He
claimed that adding this stuff to his gas tank, improved his mileage,
significantly. I took it over to the chemistry department at our local
engineering school and ran a sample on the NMR. Our conclusion (a PhD in
organic chemistry and me) was that it was, essentially, kerosene with a
yellow dye. I can't figure out how adding a few fluid ounces of this stuff
to ten or fifteen gallons of gasoline is going to make any measurable
difference.

It is big business, though. Go into any auto parts store and look at all
the chemicals you can add to your fuel tank or crank case. Some motorists
even add chemicals to themselves.

Color me skeptical.

" I Built an HHO generator.. experimenting with it Now....
Installed in a friends car. His car went from 18 MPG to 26 MPG... not too
shabby..... I plan on putting mine into a jeep Liberty thats getting
17MPG..... We will See... Keep yall posted.... BTW the HHO Generator is
Easy to build Getting about 2.5 LPM at 35 amps with a 20 cell unit
I did notice the quality of the stainless steel makes a difference.
